Naomi Henry

Naomi Henry is a passionate wildlife carer and advocate who has been a member of the Voiceless Council since 2009.

Naomi is a former Animal Co-ordinator at Wildcare NSW and has been involved in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of many native species as well as engaging in education and advocacy programs to raise public awareness of wildlife issues across Australia.

In 2008, Naomi and husband Ken Henry spent a month as volunteer caretakers at Epping Forest National Park in Queensland, assisting the rangers in looking after the last surviving colony of critically endangered Northern Hairy-nosed Wombats. As an outcome of this work, Naomi has become a Director and Administrator of The Wombat Foundation.

In an effort to save the remaining local Eastern Grey Kangaroo populations Naomi has been involved with the Canberra Kangaroo Coalition and is also an active member of the Native Animal Rescue Group.  She and Ken have bought two tracts of land which they use for the safe release of wildlife.

Naomi has recently been elected as an alternate member of the NSW Wildlife Council.
